Report: Spurs may face competition from Liverpool and Man City for free agent

According to 90 min, the race for Tottenham target Daichi Kamada is heating up ahead of the summer, with a number of clubs in the Premier League and across Europe monitoring the midfielder’s situation.

Kamada has found the back of the net 13 times and provided five assists so far this season but his current contract at Eintracht Frankfurt is up in June (Transfermarkt).

Multiple German outlets (Frankfurter Rundschau and Bild) have claimed over recent months that the Japanese international is on Tottenham’s radar and it emerged this week (Sport 1 journalist Christopher Michel) that he has decided against renewing his contract with the Bundesliga club.

90 min have now also reported on Spurs’ interest in Kamada but they state that Antonio Conte’s men are expected to face plenty of competition for the attacking midfielder’s signature.

The publication reveals that Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United are eyeing the 26-year-old while Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also considering making a move for him.

It is to be expected that a long list of clubs would be interested in Kamada, given that he looks set to be available on a free transfer.

Spurs would thus have to convince the Japanese international that he would be an important part of Antonio Conte’s set-up to stand of chance of winning the race for his signature.
