Report: Spurs may have found a new suitor for Eriksen as United end interest

Tottenham Hotspur may have just over a day to bring in signings to the club, they have far longer to line up sales this transfer window.

While the Premier League incoming transfer window slams shut at 5 pm tomorrow evening, the windows in Spain, Italy, France, and Germany stay open until September 2.

This could be vital in the future of one Mr Christian Eriksen, who has already revealed his desire to leave Tottenham in search of a new challenge and a step up (Ekstra Bladet).

The Telegraph understand that Eriksen would prefer a move abroad this summer, preferably to Spain if possible. They add that this is part of the reason why Man United backed away from negotiations over the player recently.

The report claims that Atletico Madrid and Tottenham discussed a potential Eriksen deal during the Kieran Trippier sale last month.

While a deal was not reached, the Spanish giants may apparently come back in for the Great Dane after the Prem window shuts, as this may bring his price down. They are said to be deciding between Eriksen or James Rodriguez.
