Report: Spurs may have shot themselves in the foot with this potential deal

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to buy a single new player this season, across either of the two transfer windows.

However, that hasn’t stopped them attempting to trim the dead wood around the squad.

Mousa Dembele, a fan favourite plagued by injury, was offloaded to China earlier this month, and more may yet follow him out the door.

The likes of Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou may be the most likely to be sold this window, but Tottenham may have accidentally shot themselves in the foot regarding the latter player.

Nkoudou may have featured for Spurs in the FA Cup last week, but he has been largely unused for the last two seasons under Pochettino.

Fotomac now claim that Besiktas had agreed a deal with Tottenham for the player’s signature, but have now changed their mind to pursue another player (as reported by sport witness).

And, who are they now chasing? None other than ex-Spurs man Clinton N’jie.
