Report: Spurs may have to fight Chelsea and Man United for 27-year-old

Tottenham Hotspur are now in the race to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper André Onana, but face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea for his signature.

The Cameroon international has been one of the stars of the show as Inter Milan have battled their way to the Champions League final. He will have to be on top form to prevent Manchester City from winning the coveted prize for the first time.

Andre Onana only signed for Inter Milan last summer on a free transfer from Ajax. However, there are murmurs that his time in Italy may be over already.

The 27-year-old has previously been named on a shortlist of goalkeepers who may replace Hugo Lloris at Tottenham Hotspur this summer (90Min).

Onana has also been earmarked as a potential signing for Mauricio Pocchettino at Chelsea (Football Insider).

The two London clubs look set to battle it out for his signature this summer, but the latest report from SempreInter suggests they will also have Manchester United to contend with in that fight.

Apparently the Blues “still lead the race” for Onana. But, Inter have made it clear they will only accept “cash offers” for their man between the sticks, and are not interested in any player exchange deals.

Tottenham are thought to have “enquired” about Onana after being impressed by his heroics in Europe.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are interested, but are yet to turn that into any kind of “concrete action”.

It is expected Inter would be “open to selling” the player, as they look to bring in cash to solve their financial issues.

Andre Onana is a fantastic goalkeeper and a player we would be very lucky to have. However, it won’t be easy to persuade him to leave Inter for North London, especially given the fact we don’t have European football to offer him.
