Tottenham Hotspur could move for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy this summer, as the Guinea international offers a ‘value for money’ option in the forward areas.

If there is one thing Spurs got wrong last summer, it was choosing not to find a replacement for Harry Kane.
Still, Richarlison and Heung-min Son provided a decent number of goals, but the former struggled with injuries and Son was not quite suited to the number 9 role.
Now, it seems Tottenham will finally fill that void this summer, with a number of strikers linked with the Lilywhites.
One of those names is Serhou Guirassy, who is coming off the back of an incredible campaign with Stuttgart that saw him bag 30 goals in 30 games (Transfermarkt).
However, Spurs are expected to face competition from London rivals West Ham (The Standard), German side Borussia Dortmund (Fabrizio Romano), and AC Milan (Gazzetta dello Sport via Milan Reports).

Signing Guirassy makes sense for Spurs
Now, the latest report from Football Insider has added weight to Tottenham’s pursuit of the Guirassy, with Pete O’Rourke suggesting Spurs see the striker as a “value for money” option given his £17.5m release clause.
While Guirassy is “on the radar of multiple top clubs” already, the report claims his current club are “doing everything they can” to keep hold of him.
Meanwhile, Spurs are “prioritising” a new striker this summer, especially given the talk of Richarlison potentially being available for sale.
Guirassy is “tempted to remain” with Stuttgart thanks to their qualification for the Champions League, which could prove to be a stumbling block for Tottenham.
Spurs Web Opinion
I am really not convinced Guirassy is the man for us. He’s had a brilliant season, but that doesn’t mean he can do it again, and definitely doesn’t mean he would be a success in the Premier League, either. We really need a proven goalscorer without any risk of a flop — easier said than done, I know.
