Report: Spurs midfielder currently undergoing medical ahead of exit

It looks like Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama is edging closer to a move away from the club.

Football Insider reported earlier this week that the midfielder has instructed his agent to find him a new club after holding talks with Tottenham.

The publication now reports that Belgian side Club Brugge have submitted a bid of £9million for Wanyama and offered him a five-year contract.

It is claimed that the two sides are still negotiating and haven’t agreed on a deal as of yet. In the event that both clubs aren’t able to agree on a permanent deal that they could look at the possibility of a loan deal before the European transfer window shuts on the 2nd of September.

Meanwhile, Soccer Link are reporting that the former Southampton man is currently undergoing a medical visit to Knokke hospital in Belgium prior to signing for Brugge.

The Kenyan international has been ravaged by injury for the past couple of seasons and will be hoping that the move helps him revive his career.

Spurs Web Opinion

Wanyama was simply phenomenal during his first season at Tottenham and has has been extremely unfortunate with injuries during the last two seasons. With the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, central midfield is arguably one of Tottenham’s strongest positions at the moment and the 28-year-old now has little chance of winning back his place in the team.
