Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has traveled to Hong Kong to undergo a medical ahead of his move to Chinese Super League club Beijing Sinobo Guoan. Sky Sports report that Tottenham have accepted an offer of £9 million for the Belgian.
Dembele has not featured for Spurs for over two months after picking up an ankle injury during the away win at Wolves. The 31-year-old midfielder has been a great servant for the club after having joined us from Fulham in 2012.
He has been a vital part of Spurs’ title challenges in recent seasons but there are doubts if his body could cope with the demands of English top flight football anymore.
The Belgian’s current contract with Spurs runs out at the end of the season and thus £9 million represents great value for the club.
Spurs fans will be sad to see him leave the club without a trophy but the midfielder has certainly given us great memories in a Spurs shirt.
