Report: Spurs midfielder open to loan move this summer

The Evening Standard have claimed that Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp is open to another loan move away from the club for the upcoming season.

Skipp had an outstanding campaign on loan at Norwich last season, playing a valued part in the club’s route to the Championship title.

The midfielder’s mature displays at Carrow Road got some Spurs fans excited about what’s to come from the 20-year-old this season.

The Tottenham academy graduate has continued to impress in pre-season and will be hoping to get a regular run in Tottenham’s starting eleven under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Evening Standard have now claimed that Skipp is desperate to continue playing regular football after returning from Carrow Road.

The youngster is even said to be willing to go out on loan in order to ensure he gets regular game time.

The report adds that England manager Gareth Southgate is also a fan of the England Under-21 international.

Spurs Web Opinion

While it is hard to read too much into pre-season, Nuno does seem to trust Skipp. I expect the 20-year-old to start alongside Hojbjerg against Manchester City on Sunday. I would be extremely surprised if Tottenham loaded Skipp out even if we sign another central midfielder before the window shuts.
