Estadio Deportivo have claimed that Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso will be ‘one of the most desired players’ in the upcoming summer transfer window (via Sport Witness).
It is fair to say that Lo Celso’s Spurs career hasn’t exactly gone to plan of late, despite a promising first six months to life in the Premier League. After failing to impress Antonio Conte, the Argentine was shipped out on loan to Villarreal in January.
Having said that, Lo Celso has hit the ground running on his return to Spain, qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League this week.
Estadio Deportivo claim that Lo Celso is ‘feeling like a player again’ and is looking like the star ‘everyone fell in love with’ during his time at Real Betis.
It goes on to add that Unai Emery has full confidence in the on-loan Spurs man and some fans want the club to pursue a permanent deal.
Finally, the report states that Lo Celso is unlikely to return to Tottenham in a playing capacity and will be ‘one of the most desired players’ this summer.

I think Tottenham would happily take a small hit on Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele this summer if it means getting them out the door and freeing up more money for Conte to spend. The longer Lo Celso impresses in Spain, the better it is for Tottenham.
