Report: Spurs midfielder set to leave the club this summer

Tottenham Hotspur may have gone the entire season without purchasing a new player, but this summer could be a busy transfer window for the club.

Spurs’ only piece of transfer activity this season came in the form of a Mousa Dembele sale to China, but he may not be the last midfielder to leave this year.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Spurs may also be waving goodbye to another holding mid in the summer in the form of Victor Wanyama.

The Kenyan has only managed 11 appearances this season, amounting just over 400 minutes in total.

He now finds himself behind the likes of Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier, and Harry Winks in the Tottenham midfield, and the 27-year-old has been struggling with injury this season.

He has played a total of 82 games in Tottenham colours since arriving from Southampton in 2016, and was once one of the club’s first choice defensive mids.

However, his time may be up in North London.
