Report: Spurs monitoring out-of-favour Premier League player ahead of summer

Tottenham are keeping an eye on Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson ahead of a potential move this summer, according to the Mirror.

Henderson has fallen by the wayside at Old Trafford this term and is seemingly firmly behind David de Gea in the pecking order under Ralf Rangnick.

As such, the 25-year-old’s future with the Red Devils looks to be growing in uncertainty, and Spurs are said to be interested in a potential move at the end of the season.

The Mirror reports Henderson has been frustrated by his inability to supersede De Gea in goal for United and is now weighing up his options going forward. Spurs are interested in the England international but are also joined by Ajax.

Henderson has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season and has played just three games in all competitions. He is also contracted with United until the summer of 2025 (Transfermarkt).

Henderson would immediately upgrade Tottenham’s options in goal with Pierluigi Gollini struggling to push Hugo Lloris.

However, the question is whether they will be able to prise him away from United. They are in direct competition with each other so a transfer does seem pretty unlikely at this stage, but if Spurs place a strong offer on the table, then anything is possible.
