Report: Spurs monitoring winger who has 32 goal contributions this season

Sky Sports have named Tottenham Hotspur among the clubs interested in Norwich City winger Emiliano Buendia.

While Buendia showed flashes of quality in the Premier League last season, he did seem to be lacking when it came to end product.

However, the Argentine has taken his game to a new level this season, managing 15 goals and 17 assists in the Championship.

The 24-year-old was arguably the main reason that the Canaries were able to cruise to the Championship title and deservedly picked up the Player of the Season award.

His form certainly seems to have caught the eye of several top-flight sides, with Sky Sports reporting that Arsenal and Aston Villa have made enquiries about the winger.

It is said that Tottenham are also monitoring Beundia’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

The report asserts that Daniel Farke’s side will demand a fee in the region of £35m to £40m for the skilful wide man.

Spurs Web Opinion

Our failure to push the envelope for Jarrod Bowen and Eberechi Eze over recent transfer windows have has cost us, with both players continuing to shine in the Premier League.

Let’s hope we learn from our mistake and do not hesitate in our rumoured pursuit of Buendia. The Argentine has improved considerably over the last 12 months and I expect him to have a big impact on the Premier League next season.
