Report: Spurs move for new left-back held up by swap deal demands

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Fulham left-back, Ryan Sessegnon, this summer and are said to be patient on the signing (Sky Sports).

It has previously been reported that Sessegnon is very keen to make the move to Spurs this summer for two key reasons: to stay in London and to link up with Mauricio Pochettino (Guardian).

Poch has a great track record of progressing young and English stars in North London, such as Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier, Harry Winks, and more.

With Danny Rose being left out of the pre-season tour squad to pursue a possible exit, Spurs may be left with Ben Davies as the only senior left-back at the club (Tottenham).

However, a deal for Sessegnon is reportedly being held up by Fulham’s demands for a current Tottenham player to be included in a swap deal (Evening Standard).

HITC report that no names have been mentioned, but they suggest Josh Onomah, Tashan Oakley-Booth, Cameron Carter-Vickers, and Marcus Edwards as options.
