Report: Spurs name asking price for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as Serie A club circles

Hojbjerg has been a bit-part player under Ange Postecoglou this season and with the midfielder entering the final year of his contract this June, his days at the North London club look number.

Football Insider have said that Juventus are now continuing to keep an eye on the player after having expressed an interest in his services in January.

Juventus still want Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

In fact, it is alleged that the Bianconeri were close to signing the 28-year-old in the winter but the deal fell through due to Tottenham’s loan fee demands.

The outlet explains that Hojbjerg himself is keen to exit Hotspur Way this summer, four years on from his move to the club, as he is keen on getting regular game time. It is said that Spurs are ready to let the Denmark international leave and will listen to offers for the player.

However, the publication asserts that even though the midfielder will have just 12 months left on his deal, the Premier League side are still expected to demand £20m-£25m for his services.

Given Hojbjerg’s contract situation, Tottenham might have to settle for a fee closer to £15m. However, there will be no shortage of interest in the Dane and Spurs will be hoping that he has a good Euros, which facilitates a bidding war for his services.
