Report: Spurs now ‘seriously considering’ move for £30m-rated PL attacker

Fichajes.net have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are now giving serious thought to a potential move for Manchester United star Jadon Sancho in January.

Sancho remains frozen out of the first-team picture at Man Utd after refusing to apologise to Erik Ten Hag after their pair’s public falling out (Goal.com).

According to Fichajes, amidst his ‘strained relationship’ with Ten Hag, the winger wants a ‘change of scenery in January’ as he wants to get regular minutes under his belt and get his career back on track.

The England international has allegedly ‘aroused great interest’ from Tottenham, with Ange Postecoglou thought to see the player as the ideal reinforcement, given the injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon.

Could Jadon Sancho be a success at Tottenham?

The report states that the Australian coach wants to strengthen Spurs’ attack in January in order to help the club sustain their bid for the Premier League title and that he believes that signing Sancho would be a ‘significant step’ in this direction.

The outlet asserts that Man Utd value the 23-year-old at €35m (£30.5m), which is a figure that Tottenham are ‘seriously considering’, with the Lilywhites said to be ‘carefully evaluating’ whether to make the investment.

Fichajes add that Spurs are expected to begin talks with Sancho’s representatives and with the Red Devils over the coming months.

We know that Ange is very particular about the kind of personality that he wants to bring to the club. So, it remains to be seen if the Australian would be convinced after speaking to Sancho that the 23-year-old would be the right fit for his project at Spurs.
