Report: Spurs offered chance to re-sign midfielder in January

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to re-sign Christian Eriksen when the January transfer window opens.

Eriksen left Tottenham to join Inter Milan in the January of this year but things have not gone according to plan for the Denmark international at the San Siro, with reports indicating that he could be set to leave the club after just a year (Don Balon via Calcio Mercato).

FC Inter News also confirmed on Monday that the 28-year-old could be sold by the Nerrazuri in January suggested that he was unlikely to rejoin Tottenham since Daniel Levy is not particularly keen on having him back after the midfielder burned his bridges at North London before he left.

However, Football Insider claims that Antonio Conte’s side have given Spurs the option to take Eriksen as they are keen to get him off their wage bill.

They suggest that the midfielder has also been offered to other top sides in the Premier League.

After re-signing Gareth Bale in the summer, it remains to be seen if Tottenham will be willing to bring back another player who also enjoyed tremendous success during his first spell at the club.
