Inter Live have claimed that Tottenham face competition from three other Premier League clubs for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.
CMW.it suggested last month that Spurs hold an interest in Martinez and that Inter would be open to selling the Argentine for a fee of around €70m-€80m (£62.3-£71.2m) in order to balance their books.
The report suggested that Antonio Conte’s men could make a move for the 25-year-old if Harry Kane departs North London next summer.
If Inter Live’s latest update is to be believed, Newcastle United and Manchester United are ready to challenge Spurs for Martinez’s signature.
The report explains that while the aforementioned three clubs are leading the race for the Argentine, Chelsea could also enter the mix due to the fact that Romelu Lukaku is still a Blues player.
Inter Live assert that the Nerazzurri will demand a fee of around €90m (£77.2m) for Martinez, which some Premier League clubs might be prepared to pay.
Spurs Web Opinion
I do not see Spurs making a big-money move for Martinez, given the attacking talent that Conte has at his disposal. The only way a move for the Argentine would make sense is if Harry Kane leaves.
Otherwise, the North Londoners would be better off investing that money into other areas of the squad. The likes of Man Utd are more likely to spend big on Martinez since they are desperately in need of a striker.
