Report: Spurs one of four PL clubs interested in 24-year-old centre-forward

The Sun have claimed that Tottenham are one of four Premier League clubs eyeing a move for Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

Despite missing a big chunk of the 2021/22 campaign due to injury, Kalajszic scored six goals and provided two assists in 15 appearances (Transfermarkt), which proved crucial in helping Stuttgart to preserve their Bundesliga status.

Kicker reported back in March that the Austrian international was on Tottenham’s radar, while The Athletic subsequently revealed that he was valued at £21m.

The Sun have now claimed that Kalajdzic appears increasingly likely to depart the Mercedes-Benz Arena this summer, with his contract at the club expiring in 12 months.

Apart from Spurs, the 24-year-old is also said to be on the radars of Chelsea, Manchester United and Leicester City.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also credited with an interest in Kalajdzic but it is explained that Dortmund are not likely to move for the Stuttgart star as they are now closing on Sebastian Haller.

Spurs Web Opinion

If it is an out-and-out backup to Kane that Conte is after rather than a versatile forward like Richarlison or Jesus, then Kalajdzic would be a very astute signing.

He is likely to be relatively cheap and he would add a different dimension to our attack owing to his physicality and aerial prowess.

He would be a useful option to bring on from the bench if we are chasing a game against a low-block and need to go more direct.
