Report: Spurs one of four Prem sides looking at Barca star on loan

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly now one of four Premier League clubs chasing a loan deal for Barcelona and Brazil star, Philippe Coutinho (TalkSPORT).

The player is said to want a move back to the Prem, with his transfer to Barcelona being far from the dream move he would have envisaged.

Tottenham are said to be rivalled by Arsenal, Man United, and Coutinho’s ex-club and European champions, Liverpool.

While this would be an incredible deal for any of these four clubs to pull off, they only have until 5 pm on Thursday to do do, as the window shuts for incoming Prem transfers.

Mundo Deportivo previously reported that Coutinho could be sent out on loan by Barca, but only if a £23m fee is met, with an obligation to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Coutinho is certainly a great player and any club would love to have him, but I would think that Barcelona would be asking for a price way above Tottenham’s budget. Perhaps Spurs could offer Eriksen the other way, but I can’t see it happening. Liverpool would be the most logical move for Coutinho in my mind.
