Report: Spurs open to selling both Dele and Lo Celso in final days of transfer window

According to GOAL, Tottenham are open to selling both Giovani Lo Celso and Dele Alli in the final days of the January transfer window.

Both midfielders were left out of the squad to face Chelsea this evening in the Premier League, despite Antonio Conte seeming short on reinforcements.

The Italian boss decided to play with a back four and two wing-backs against Chelsea, including the likes of Harvey White on the bench over the experienced duo.

Tottenham fell to a 2-0 defeat against their bitter rivals and GOAL now claim that Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici will look to cash in on Dele and Lo Celso in the next week or so.

Lo Celso took to Instagram just before the game to react to questions he had apparently received about not playing despite being at full fitness.

He wrote: “Regarding the questions I received, I would like to clear out that I am 100 per cent in good physical condition. I have no problem and I feel very well. I wish the best to my team in the derby today.”

Having played the final game before the transfer window slams shut, thanks to the upcoming international break, Spurs will have a chance to work behind the scenes on incomings and outgoings.

Spurs Web Opinion:

We are at the point now where it is simply a case of asking Conte who he wants to sell, then selling them for whatever the best fee you can get is. You will not recuperate the fee you paid, and for too long Spurs have delayed because of that. Sell who Conte doesn’t want, buy who he wants, and let him take the club forward.
