Report: Spurs or Liverpool may have to pay £26m for alleged midfield target

Foot Mercato have revealed Lorient will look to raise around €25m- €30m (£22m-£26.4m) for Tottenham target Enzo Le Fee this summer.

Le Fee has progressed steadily since Lorient’s promotion to the French top flight three years ago that the midfielder has undoubtedly been the club’s standout player this season.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who enters the final 12 months of his contract in June, told L’Equipe last week that he intends to leave his boyhood club this summer and take the next step in his career.

90 min subsequently claimed a few days ago that Tottenham and several other Premier League clubs had been alerted by the Frenchman’s statement.

The publication revealed that apart from Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle United were also admirers of the player.

Foot Mercato have now reported that Le Fee is also attracting interest from the Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, and Eintracht Frankfurt said to be ‘very fond’ of the midfielder.

It is alleged that those clubs have already contacted the 23-year-old’s entourage but Lorient are said to be intent on getting a fee in the region of €25m- €30m (£22m-£26.4m) for their talisman despite his contract situation.

Spurs Web Opinion

Le Fee does not seem like a particularly good fit for the Premier League, either physically or tactically.

I would not be surprised if the Lorient star opts to move to the Bundesliga or the Serie A this summer rather than to England.
