Report: Spurs player agrees five-year deal ahead of transfer

Kyle Walker-Peters has a agreed a five-year contract with Southampton ahead of his move to the south coast, according to talkSPORT.

The radio station claim that the Tottenham Hotspur right-back will move to the Saints in a £12million deal.

It has previously been claimed by The Mirror that Walker-Peters will not need a medical at St Mary’s because he underwent one at the start of the year ahead of his loan switch during the winter transfer window.

Fulham and West Ham United were both also said to have been keen on the England Under-21 international who impressed with his performances for Ralph Hassenhutl’s side following the resumption of the Premier League campaign in June.

Walker-Peters started last season under Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s first choice right-back having played the opening three top flight matches before suffering a hamstring injury in the home defeat to Newcastle United and did not make a further appearance in the Premier League prior to his switch to the Saints (transfermarkt).
