Report: Spurs player could become Pochettino’s first signing at PSG

According to The Sun, Mauricio Pochettino will attempt to make Dele Alli his first new signing as Paris Saint-Germain boss, with former Tottenham man on the cusp of taking over at the Ligue 1 giants.

It looks like Pochettino’s 13-month hiatus since leaving Tottenham is about to come to an end, with reports suggesting that he is set to take over from Thomas Tuchel.

Dele Alli, who was a regular in the side during the Argentine’s time at the club has been linked with a move away from North London, with PSG expected to make a loan offer for the midfielder (Daily Mail).

The midfielder has struggled for game time this season and came in for criticism from Jose Mourinho for his role in Stoke’s equaliser during Tottenham’s 3-1 win on Wednesday.

The Argentine spoke about the 24-year-old in glowing terms during his recent appearance on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football (via Football.London).

According to The Sun, Pochettino, who is in advanced talks to become the next PSG boss, is prepared to offer Alli an exit route from his Spurs nightmare.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is one transfer almost all of us expect to go through and it can potentially suit all parties. Alli needs to revive his career and I can see him thriving in Ligue 1 under Pochettino. If he does well on loan with the Parisians that could potentially add £10 to £20m to his value if Tottenham are indeed planning on selling him next summer.
