Report: Spurs player is expected to transfer back to his home country this summer

Football Insider have claimed that Bryan Gil is expected to leave Tottenham and head to La Liga when the transfer window reopens in June.

Gil had two loan spells at Valencia and Sevilla during the second half of the last two campaigns and it perhaps came as a surprise when the winger stayed put at Spurs during the most recent transfer window.

The Spaniard has found game time hard to come by under Ange Postecoglou this season, having made 11 appearances, of which he only started one game (Transfermarkt).

Spurs to part ways with Bryan Gil this summer

According to Football Insider, Gil’s three-year stay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is about to come to an end this summer.

The report states that the 23-year-old is unhappy with his lack of game time under Ange Postecoglou this season and wants to return to La Liga at the end of the season.

Tottenham are not expected to stand in the former Sevilla man’s way, with the club thought to be planning for next season without the winger.

It is clear that Bryan Gil, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Giovani Lo Celso are guaranteed to leave Tottenham at the end of the season while Oliver Skipp and Emerson Royal could also follow them out of the door as Postecoglou continues to put his own imprint on this squad.
