Giovani Lo Celso is reportedly yet to undergo his Villarreal medical despite securing a loan move from Tottenham on deadline day, according to Marca.
Lo Celso was one of a number of outgoings from Spurs on Monday having been made available for an exit earlier in January by Antonio Conte (Evening Standard).
The 25-year-old came close to joining Ligue 1 side Lyon, but allegedly turned down the chance of a move to France (RMC Sport’s Loic Tanzi) in favour of heading to Villarreal instead.
However, Marca suggest Lo Celso’s move to the Yellow Submarine has not been totally completed on paper just yet.
The report states the Argentine midfielder has not completed his medical checks yet, but will finalise his return to La Liga today.
It also adds that Lo Celso will then be able to take part in his first Villarreal training session on Friday and will be presented to the local media on the same day.

Hopefully, this move for Lo Celso will be a positive one as he just hasn’t shown much throughout his stint at Tottenham. If he enjoys a better spell in La Liga, then Spurs will be getting back a player in form, and then there will be a decision to make in the summer regarding his future.
