Report: Spurs player’s name comes up in talks involving Newcastle’s transfer consultant

Dele Alli’s name has come up in the subject of transfer discussions by Newcastle United’s transfer consultant Nick Hammond, according to The Chronicle.

The report claims that the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been made available for loan, along with an initial loan with a view to a switch being made permanent.

Hammond’s relationship with CAA Base could see the agency offer the Magpies the opportunity to take the former MK Dons man to St James’ Park in a bid to revive his career.

Everton have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder, however, it is not known whether the departure of manager Rafa Benitez would have any impact on whether he continues to be a target.

The Telegraph reported last month that Dele had been made available for transfer and his potential departure comes with the approval of head coach Antonio Conte.

The 25-year-old has struggled for form in the last few seasons and is yet to show any sort of marked improvement with his on-field performances since the arrival of the Italian.

Dele’s career has stalled in recent seasons and it is in best interests for both the player an the club that he is moved on, especially if it allows Antonio Conte the opportunity to bring in his own players as part of the well overdue rebuild in north London.
