Report: Spurs players return to training in double session at Hotspur Way

Antonio Conte put his available Tottenham Hotspur players through a double session at Hotspur Way earlier today, according to the Daily Mail.

The first team area of the club’s training facility has been closed since late on Wednesday on the advice of the Health Security Agency following the Covid-19 outbreak which has impacted the squad.

Conte’s players have been unable to train in usual circumstances since the outbreak with those who have evaded the virus believed to have been given individual training programmes by the Italian and his backroom and his staff, while also having their diet and nutritional needs also managed remotely (Football.London)

The report claims that Hotspur Way will continue to operate with strict restrictions with the hope that all first-team areas will open on Tuesday.

Tottenham been unable to take to the field in their last two fixtures against Rennes and Brighton and Hove Albion, respectively, however, as things stand Thursday night’s trip to Leicester City looks like it could still go ahead.

Hopefully, all of the players and staff which have been impacted by the virus are doing well and will be fit and ready to return for duty once their ten-day isolation period has ended.

The timing of the outbreak could not have come at a worse time for Tottenham with Conte starting to build some good momentum before their campaign was put on hold.
