Report: Spurs prepared to listen to offers for 28-year-old

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to listen to offers for Paulo Gazzaniga, according to The Evening Standard.

Premier League newcomers Fulham are said to hold an interest in the Argentine with Scott Parker said to be prepared to give the 28-year-old the opportunity to compete with Marek Rodak and Marcus Bettinelli to become the Cottager’s number one (Telegraph).

Jose Mourinho moved to bring in former England international Joe Hart on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Burnley.

Hart’s arrival has potentially impacted Gazzaniga’s prospects of playing next season in the event that Hugo Lloris is sidelined.

Gazzaniga had plenty of opportunities to taste first-team football during the last campaign due to Lloris’ injury issues which saw the back-up keeper play 25 matches in all competitions 2019/20 (transfermarkt).

At 28, Gazzaniga needs to be playing regular first team football rather than warming the bench in North London if he wants to avoid being a one-cap wonder for Argentina.
