Report: Spurs prepared to offer striker much higher salary than Serie A club

Viola News have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer Dusan Vlhaovic almost double the salary that Fiorentina have tabled for the striker.
Vlahovic, who had a prolific campaign in the Serie A last season, has just two years left to run on his contract and Spurs are thought to have stepped up their interest in the Serbian over recent days.
In what came as a potential blow to the Lilywhites, Fiorentina sporting director Nicolas Burdisso insisted this week that the Serie A club are keen on keeping the 21-year-old and were taking steps to extend his contract.
However, if Viola News’ latest update is to be believed, Fiorentina’s offer for the striker has fallen well short of Tottenham’s.
The report reveals that Spurs have decided to offer the striker €5m(£4.2m) net per season plus bonuses for 5 years in addition to a €2m (£1.7m) signing on a fee if he agrees to join the club.
In contrast, Fiorentina have allegedly only offered the player €3m (£2.5m) plus a bonus of €1m (£850k).
In addition, it is mentioned that there are disagreements between Vlahovic’s entourage and Fiorentina regarding the value of the release clause in any new contract.
Spurs Web Opinion
Just like Inter’s situation with Lautaro Martinez, Fiorentina would have to cash in on Vlhaovic this summer if they are not able to reach an agreement on a new contract.
The Serbian’s agent will be using Tottenham’s interest in the striker to get his client the best terms possible. This situation appears quite fluid and could well change over the next few days.
