According to a report in TuttoMercatoWeb (08/11/22 as translated by Sport Witness), Antonio Conte wants Tottenham to spend significantly to strengthen their squad in January.
Spurs bulked up their squad considerably during the summer transfer window, bringing seven new players through the door. However, their squad has still been extremely stretched over recent weeks as a result of injuries to key players.

The Evening Standard reported two weeks ago that Tottenham are set to back Conte once again when the transfer window reopens in January.
The report added that while the 53-year-old is happy with the size of the squad, he wants readymade replacements for Bryan Gil, Japhet Tanganga, and Pape Matar Sarr, who are expected to be loaned out.
TMW have now asserted that Tottenham will continue to invest in the squad despite already spending large amounts in the last two transfer windows.
The report adds that Conte ‘hopes’ a similar amount can be spent in January, with an ‘implied threat’ that he will ‘hardly renew his contract’ if Spurs fail to deliver an ‘important market’.
It is stated that Tottenham are preparing a ‘new pharaonic transfer campaign’ for their head coach in January.

We know from Conte’s history that he is extremely demanding and there is no doubt that the funds available to spend will be the main talking point when the Italian sits down with Paratici and Levy to discuss a new contract. I believe that the Lilywhites will do what it takes to get the 53-year-old to commit his future to the club.
