Report: Spurs pull out of negotiations to sign striker

According to various reports Tottenham are said to be interested in bringing in attacking options before the transfer deadline at midnight. In order to bring in non-British players, however, Spurs would first need to let go of players in order to comply with the homegrown rule.

The club are said to be looking for takers for Vincent Janssen and Georges Kevin-Nkoudo, with the former rumored to be close to a move to Schalke while the later is said to be undergoing a medical with AS Monaco.

According to a report in Sky Sports, one player who Spurs definitely won’t be bringing in is Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi. Spurs are said to have pulled out of negotiations for the striker who has spent the first half of this season on loan at Valencia.

The report claims that Chelsea have agreed loan deals with both West Ham and Real Betis for the striker, with Batshuayi set to make a final call on his destination.
