Report: Spurs’ pursuit of Ndombele may have just received a boost

Another potential destination for Tanguy Ndombele could be set to slam shut with the news that Juventus are close to signing fellow midfielder Adrien Rabiot from PSG.

The Italian giants were said to be keen on signing Ndombele from Lyon which would have further complicated Spurs’ pursuit of the player, according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio.

Juventus are reported to have agreed on personal terms with Rabiot who is soon to be available on a free transfer when his contract expires with the Ligue 1 side this summer.

Italian football journalist Alfredo Pedulia claims that Rabiot has agreed to a five-year contract worth over €7 million.

Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for Rabiot during the January transfer window but the player is said to have snubbed a move to North London with him viewing the club as below him (ESPN).

If Juventus are to tie up a deal for the 23-year-old then it will certainly help to clear the way for them to continue their negotiations with Lyon for Ndombele.
