Report: Spurs put five first-team stars up for sale after sealing Bale and Reguilon deals

Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguillon look to be heading to North London, with an official announcement on both players expected from the club shortly.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who was among the first the break details on the negotiations between Spurs and Real Madrid for the pair, has now revealed that the Lilywhites are ready to cash-in on several of their first-team stars.

In order to balance the books after the arrival of Bale and Reguillon, Tottenham are reportedly looking to move on Danny Rose, Juan Foyth, Paulo Gazzaniga, Serge Aurier, and Ryan Sessegnon.

Recent reports indicate that Sessegnon is likely to leave on a season-long loan (Daily Mail), while Danny Rose is said to be close to a move to Genoa (Daily Mirror).

Meanwhile, Ornstein also asserted that Alli, who was rumoured to be offered to Real Madrid as part of the Bale deal, is not on course to leave Tottenham this transfer window as things stand.

Spurs Web Opinion

Sessegnon will need to be loaned out if he is to get some minutes under his belt. I am hoping that the club are also considering a loan for Foyth, although they might be tempted to cash-in should they receive a decent offer. While Rose and Aurier seem surplus to requirements, I worry if Joe Hart is good enough to be Lloris’ main backup. I would like to see Gazzaniga stay and fight it out with the England goalkeeper for the number 2 spot.
