Report: Spurs quote world-record price for Kane following Madrid enquiry

Real Madrid have endured a difficult season so far as they find themselves languishing in the 5th place in La Liga.

It is rumoured that the Spanish giants are looking to revamp their squad completely, with Tottenham striker Harry Kane being their number one target.

Spanish publication AS reports that Real Madrid enquired to Tottenham about how much Kane would cost and the North London club quoted a price of a whopping £312 million.

This would comfortably beat the world record fee of £200 million that PSG spent on Neymar.

The report suggests that since then Real Madrid have moved on to more realistic targets like Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski, and PSG’s Edinson Cavani.

Kane has of course recently signed a long-term contract with the Lillywhites and since he is unlikely to force a move out of the club, it comes as no surprise that Daniel Levy is demanding an astronomical fee for the England captain.
