Report: Spurs ready to loan 21-year-old out – League One and Two clubs interested

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to loan out young goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman, with a number of clubs from both League One and League Two said to be interested (Daily Mail).

Whiteman has been in and around the first-team squad in North London for a couple of years now, training with the likes of Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga.

However, the youngster has yet to make his Tottenham debut, with goalkeeper being a tricky position to break into as an academy graduate.

With Lloris, Gazzaniga, Joe Hart, and Brandon Austin at the club, Whiteman would find minutes in a Lilywhite shirt almost impossible to come by.

Finding him a new club to gain valuable experience is said to be an easy task for Tottenham though as the 21-year-old is in demand among the lower leagues.

It is likely that Tottenham would choose a club at which Whiteman would be guaranteed first-team minutes on the pitch.
