Report: Spurs ready to meet Serie A star’s wage demands amidst contract standoff

Milan Live have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to meet the wage demands of AC Milan midfielder Frank Kessie.

Kessie’s current deal runs out at the end of the season and the Rossoneri have so far been unable to convince the player to sign an extension.

It was reported previously that the Milan star was one of the players that Antonio Conte had urged Tottenham to bring in when the transfer window opens in January.

According to sources in France, Paris Saint-Germain have met with the midfielder’s entourage on several occasions to enquire about ‘his sporting and financial demands’.

Milan Live have now revealed that negotiations between Milan and Kessie’s entourage have completely stopped and that the 24-year-old’s exit from the San Siro is becoming more likely with each passing day.

The report reveals that the Ivory Coast international is demanding a salary of €10m per season (£8.5m) while the Rossoneri not willing to offer him beyond €6m (£5.1m).

It is stated that Kessie is likely to leave as a free agent at the end of the season, with Spurs and PSG both willing to meet the player’s salary demands.

Paying £8.5m-oer-year for Kessie will be a bargain if the midfielder is available on a free transfer at the end of the season. The Ivorian will be a good fit for the Premier League and his arrival will likely signal the end of the Ndombele’s and Alli’s time at Spurs.
