Report: Spurs ready to sell three players for cut-price fees this summer

The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are willing to accept cut-price transfer fees for Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele and Steven Bergwijn.

Bergwijn looks destined to leave North London in the summer, with the winger admitting in an interview with AD recently that he wishes to leave in order to get regular game time under his belt.

Meanwhile, Lo Celso has been in excellent form since joining Villarreal on loan in January.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Tottenham are ready to cash in on the Argentine but want a transfer fee close to the €50m (£42.7m) they paid for him.

The report added that such a fee would be beyond Villarreal, who could look to extend the 25-year-old’s loan deal.

However, Eccleshare has now revealed that Tottenham’s priority is to find permanent buyers for Lo Celso, as well as Bergiwjn and Ndombele this summer.

The journalist added that the North Londoners are prepared to accept ‘fees lower than they would ideally want’ in order to get all three players off their books.

Spurs Web Opinion

Finding buyers for Bergwijn and Lo Celso will be quite straightforward as I do not expect there to be a shortage of suitors for either of them this summer.

However, it will be a lot trickier to find a buyer for Ndombele unless he accepts a massive wage cut.

Spurs would have hoped that PSG would reignite their interest in the Frenchman this summer but they might think twice following the inconsistency he has shown at Lyon.
