Report: Spurs ready to sell two Postecoglou favourites if they receive ‘massive offers’

According to The Standard, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur could be sold this summer by Tottenham if a ‘massive offer’ is made for either player.

It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that there is expected to be a mass exodus from Spurs this summer as Ange Postecoglou oversees a huge rebuild ahead of his second season in charge (Football Insider).

This claim has now been backed by The Standard, who suggested that Emerson Royal could be one of the first ones through the door, with the right-back attracting interest from Italy and Saudi Arabia.

The report says that the Brazilian is expected to be followed out of the door by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil, Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele and Japhet Tanganga.

Tottenham will listen to offers for first-team players this summer

In addition, it is revealed that Spurs will also listen to offers for squad players such as Manor Solomon.

The outlet then goes on to make a surprising claim by stating that neither Bissouma nor Bentancur are guaranteed to be at Tottenham at the start of next season.

It is explained that while Postecoglou wants to keep both players at the club, a huge offer for either midfielder could tempt Spurs into offloading them.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be surprised if either Bissouma or Bentancur are sold this summer. While I can understand why the club would be tempted to listen to big offers for the former Brighton man, I think it would be a huge mistake to sell the Uruguayan, who clearly needs a little more time to get fully up to speed, given that he missed nearly a year of football.
