Report: Spurs ready to swap Tanguy Ndombele for one of two Roma midfielders

According to a report by 90min, Tottenham Hotspur have approached AS Roma over a swap deal involving Tanguy Ndombele.

Ndombele’s future at Spurs looks in doubt after the midfielder was booed off the pitch by fans in Tottenham’s FA Cup third-round win over Morecambe on Sunday.

Fabrizio Romano has since revealed that Tottenham are looking to shift Ndombele this month and are willing to discuss potential swap deals including the Frenchman.

If 90min’s latest update is to be believed, the North London club have now approached Roma over swapping Ndombele for Nicolo Zaniolo or Lorenzo Pellegrini.

However, the report claims that a deal is ‘unlikely’ to materialise this month.

Spurs are also thought to hold an interest in Roma starlet Ebrima Darboe but it is explained that Jose Mourinho is a fan of the youngster.

90min also suggest that Tottenham are exploring the option of swapping Ndombele for Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi, who Antonio Conte is said to be keen on reuniting with.

Spurs Web Opinion

Any potential swap deals with Italian clubs involving Ndombele is unlikely given the salary that the Frenchman is on. I can only see the former Lyon man leaving on loan this month.

Besides, Nicolo Zaniolo has looked a shadow of his former self since returning from his ACL injury. Signing the 22-year-old would be a huge risk.
