Tottenham Hotspur have been installed as the favourites to sign Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez this summer (Mirror via The Express)
Spurs are seemingly on the lookout for another wide option this ahead of next season, with the likes of Willian (Mundo Deportivo). and Ryan Fraser (Mirror) being linked with the North Londoners.
It is now suggested that Jose Mourinho has his eye on Vazquez, whose development he witnessed first-hand when he was Real Madrid manager.
After spending many years in Real Madrid’s youth set-up and a season on loan at Espanyol, Vazquez has gone on to make more than 200 appearances for the Los Blancos first-team (transfermarkt).
The report suggests that the Spanish giants are ready to part ways with the 28-year-old this summer as they look to raise funds for their new transfer targets.
While the Spanish international reportedly has several suitors, it is said that Mourinho is keen on bringing him to Tottenham.
It is suggested that Vazquez is also interested in the prospect of linking up with the Spurs boss once again.

It looks like Mourinho wants to sign one more wide option to have four players competing for two spots. Vazquez could potentially be an excellent acquisition as he would not only make the squad stronger but would also bring a winning mentality to the side.
