Report: Spurs receive boost in pursuit of £26m-rated midfielder

Bild have reported that Tottenham have received a potential boost in the race for Daichi Kamada, with Eintracht Frankfurt now close to signing his replacement.

It is claimed that Frankfurt are looking to tie up a deal with Dinamo Zagreb to sign playmaker, Lovro Majer in a deal worth around £13.5m.

Tottenham lacked an attacking playmaker at times last season, with the club failing to fill the Christain Eriksen shaped hole in the squad while Dele Alli also struggled for minutes.

Back in May, Bild reported that Spurs were interested in signing Kamada who was then rated at around £26m, while they were also keen on his teammate, Evan Ndicka.

If Spurs are looking for goals and assists from midfield to reinforce Harry Kane and Heung-min Son’s strike rates, Kamada certainly seems like a good bet, having racked up five goals and 15 assists in the Bundesliga last season (TransferMarkt).

Although, TransferMarkt claim that the attacker is only worth around £14.4m in the current market.
