Report: Spurs receive boost with first-teamer set to resume training

Tottenham Hotspur could be set to be handed an injury boost.

The Daily Mail claim that Hugo Lloris is set to return to first team training this week.

The French World Cup winner has been out of action since dislocating his elbow in the 3-0 defeat at Brighton in October.

The freak injury occurred when the goalkeeper fell awkwardly at the Amex Stadium, spilling Pascal Gross’ cross and presenting Neal Maupay with an open goal which he took full advantage of.

Paulo Gazzaniga has been deputising in the absence of Lloris while the club also took the decision to bring Michel Vorm back to North London just months after his contract had expired in order to provide extra cover.

The report claims that Lloris has resumed light training at Hotspur away and hopes to integrate back with Mourinho’s side in the next ten days.

He has already started ball work and contact drills under the supervision of goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos.
