Report: Spurs receive potential boost in Vlahovic race as Fiorentina’s stance emerges

In what comes as a potential boost for Tottenham in their rumoured pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic, Italian daily Corriere Fiorentino (as relayed by Inside Futbol) have revealed that Fiorentina would prefer to sell the striker abroad.

Vlahovic’s current deal with Fiorentina runs out in the summer of 2023 and Fabrizio Romano has claimed that talks between the striker and Fiorentina have broken down.

After these rumours hinting that a new contract may not be on the cards, the speculation linking the 21-year-old with a move to Spurs has gone into hyperdrive.

Reports over recent days have claimed that Tottenham are ‘crazy’ for the centre-forward and are currently leading the race for his signature.

Spurs are alleged to be in talks with the striker’s entourage over personal terms ahead of a move in the January transfer window.

Corriere Fiorentino have now handed Tottenham another boost by revealing that, despite interest from Juventus in Vlahovic, Fiorentina do not wish to sell him to an Italian club.

While Juve are said to be keen on completing a two-year loan deal with an option to buy, it is said that Viola would prefer to sell the centre-forward to an English club, with both Spurs and Manchester City thought to be showing interest in the striker.

Spurs Web Opinion

Based on the sheer number of similar reports coming out of Italy this week on the Vlahovic situation, it does seem like the Serbian is likely on his way out of the Artemio Franchi Stadium in January. Hopefully, Paratici’s relationships could us an advantage over the likes of City in the 21-year-old’s pursuit.
