Report: Spurs ‘remain keen’ on Crystal Palace youth starlet after missing out last year

A report from TeamTalk claims that Spurs remain keen on the Crystal Palace youth player, Zion Atta, after reportedly missing out on the starlet last year.

The report states that both Spurs and Arsenal went for the 14-year-old last year but Atta eventually signed for Crystal Palace from Millwall instead.

Man City, Man United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are also said to be impressed with the form of the teenager this year, meaning that all members of the ‘big six’ may be keen on the starlet.

However, despite interest from such big names in English football, TeamTalk claim that Atta and his family are very happy with the situation at Palace.

Atta is apparently expected to feature for the U18 team this year despite being a whole four years underneath that age bracket.

As Atta is under the age of a professional contract, he would be able to move to a different club without Palace giving permission. However, the Eagles would then be due compensation payments.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Signing up any young and promising starlet is okay with me. Look at how far Parrott has come since signing for Spurs as a relatively unheard of teenager.
