Report: Spurs remain keen on midfielder – Potential January swap deal mentioned

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Franck Kessie in January with a potential swap deal including Tanguy Ndombele mentioned in the report.

The Ivory Coast international’s future with AC Milan is said to be in doubt as the midfielder will become a free agent next year if he doesn’t extend his current contract.

The report, however, states that it seems he has no intention of signing a new contract with the Italian club despite them offering a deal worth €6.5m.

Tottenham and PSG both reportedly remain interested in the AC Milan star ahead of the January transfer window.

It was widely reported this summer that Tanguy Ndombele requested to leave Tottenham, with Spurs slapping a £51.5m price tag on his head.

However, the 24-year-old did not get his desired move and is still at Spurs despite not yet playing a minute under Nuno Espirito Santo.

CalcioMercato claim that PSG could include Mauro Icardi or Leandro Paredes in a potential deal, while Spurs are ‘ready to get serious’ and could use Ndombele.

Although Kessie would a great addition, using Ndombele in a swap deal doesn’t make much sense. Ndombele has years left on his deal while Kessie’s is almost done.

Spurs have all the power here and shouldn’t give them an asset worth a lot of money, despite interest from PSG.
