The 25-year-old scored Gladbach’s third goal in the game, thus taking his tally for the campaign to 13 goals across all competitions in 17 matches so far (Transfermarkt).

The versatile forward is part of France’s 26-man World Cup squad and will be hoping to play a role for Didier Deschamps’ men in Qatar.

90 min state that Spurs are on the hunt for a new forward in January, with Thuram said to be one of the names on the North London club’s wishlist.

The former Guingamp star’s current deal at Borussia Park runs out at the end of the season, which means that he will be able to negotiate a free transfer with clubs from January.

90 min add that Thuram is also of interest to Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta’s men said to be ‘admirers’ of the Gladbach forward.

Thuram has demonstrated over recent years that he can play across the front three and his versatility will make him an excellent fit for Conte’s system.

The fact that the 25-year-old’s current deal runs out next summer means that he will likely be available for a cut-price fee in January.
