Report: Spurs scouts attend European clash amidst winger interest

According to Het Laatste Nieuws (as relayed by Voetbal Nieuws), scouts from Tottenham Hotspur were in Belgium to watch Club Brugge in action on Thursday.

The report says that scouts from the North London club were in attendance at the Jan Breydel Stadium to watch Brugge’s UEFA Conference League quarterfinal tie against PAOK.

The outlet does not provide any detail on which player the representatives from the Lilywhites were there to watch.

Were Tottenham scouting Antonio Nusa?

However, it will be clear to most Spurs fans just who the club were running the rule over, with Antonio Nusa continuing to be heavily linked with a summer switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Just a couple of days ago, HITC suggested that the 18-year-old is still high on Ange Postecoglou’s wishlist ahead of the summer transfer window.

The report claimed Spurs are still ‘very keen’ on the winger and ‘firmly remain in pursuit’ of the teenager, who is expected to cost around £30m.

Tottenham would be wary of Nusa’s fitness record after his failed medical at Brentford in January, following which he has also missed a few games due to injury. Perhaps one of the things the scouts would have taken a closer look at is whether his mobility was affected.
