Report: Spurs scouts expected in Vienna this evening for international clash 

Laola1 have revealed that scouts from Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be present at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna this evening to watch Austria take on Germany.

The international break generally sees scouts from various clubs travel across the continent to take a closer look at some potential transfer targets.

It looks like Tottenham’s new chief scout Rob Mackenzie and his team have started assessing various players ahead of the January transfer window.

Tottenham are scouting in Austria this evening

The report states that representatives from Spurs as well as Southampton are expected in Austria this evening and they could be joined by scouts from Lyon and Vitesse Arnhem. 

The publication does not reveal which player Tottenham or any of the other clubs will be watching.

Spurs are thought to be on the lookout for a midfielder in January (Football Insider) and a number of talented midfielders are expected to feature in the game, including Nicolas Seiwald, Matthias Seidl and Christian Baumgartner.

It has also been widely reported over recent weeks that the Lilywhites are also keeping a close eye on German sensation Florian Wirtz (TEAMtalk), who is expected to start for Julian Nagelsmann’s side.
