Report: Spurs scouts in attendance as Italian defender nets hat-trick

Tottenham Hotspur are said to have been one of a number of clubs who had scouts in attendance to watch Italy Under-21s in action against their Romanian counterparts on Tuesday afternoon.

TuttomercatoWeb claim that representatives from the North London club were at the friendly fixture held at the Stadio Benito Stirpe along with those from AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.

The report did not name any of the players on show who Spurs could be potentially casting their eye over in the fixture which the Italian side won 4-2.

Empoli defender Simone Canestrelli, who is currently on loan at Crotone stole the headlines after originally putting one through his own goal, but went some way to redeem himself by netting a hat-trick to help his side come from behind to secure the victory.
