Report: Spurs scouts left impressed with midfielder; will watch him again this week

Tottenham Hotspur have been left with a positive impression of Fenerbahce’s Ismail Yuksek, following a recent scouting mission.

Turkish news outlet Fotomac have claimed that members of the Tottenham recruitment team were in attendance to watch the UEFA Europa Conference League match against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last week.

Tottenham were at the fixture to cast their eye over Union Saint-Gilloise’s Mohamed Amoura and were impressed with what they saw from Yuskek.

Fenerbahce ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in the round of sixteen first leg tie in Belgium with Yuksek having completed the full 90 minutes.

The North Londoners are said to have ‘booked’ a place to watch the return fixture in Turkey which takes place tomorrow evening.

Tottenham are planning to continue to monitor the performances of Yuskek and could look to approach Fenerbahce this summer if Ange Postecoglou gives the move the green light.

Tottenham will naturally be scouting a number of players across Europe in the final few months of the season as part of their transfer preparations for the summer.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is likely to leave Tottenham this summer with just a year remaining on his deal which will certainly mean there is a requirement to bring in another body to cover the likes of Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur.
